Dominican Cigars
The Dominican Republic is infamous for its wonderful, hand-rolled premium cigars, particularly because of its rich, dark, soil and dense land in the Cibao Valley. This Valley is located in the northern part of the Dominican Republic, and is about 235 kilometers. This region is probably one of the best regions in the world for growing tobacco, and quite a large portion of the world’s best cigars start primarily from the Cibao Valley. Probably the first cigar producer in the Dominican Republic was La Aurora, who began his business in the early 1900’s. In the United States, Dominican Cigars are a favorite, particularly for their sweet, nutty, and mild flavor. Some Dominican Cigar brands include: Padron Cigars, Cohiba, Arturo Fuente Cigars, Dunhill, Thomson, La Gloria Cubana, Don Tomas, Romeo y Julieta, La Aurora, Macanudo, Avo, Dominican Superba, Cuesta Rey, Tatiana, Puros Indios, Havana Honeys, Hoyo De Monterrey, Cigar, Diablo, and Partagas Cigars.
